For treats and smaller kibble bags, yes — mono-material PE or PP keeps the pack in a store drop-off stream. For high-fat or freeze-dried products the barrier and puncture requirements usually rule it out today. We will tell you honestly which of your SKUs can carry the claim and which cannot.
Yes, with a nylon layer added for puncture resistance. Freeze-dried pieces have sharp edges that will find a weak point in a standard laminate, and a single pinhole undoes the moisture barrier the whole product depends on.
Not if the inner film is specified for it. Above roughly fifteen percent fat, standard PE inner layers allow slow oil migration — the pack does not leak, but it goes translucent and picks up a rancid smell. We use a fat-resistant seal layer above that threshold.
A side gusset pouch with a block bottom. At that weight the load is carried by the side seals, and a side gusset structure distributes it better than a stand up pouch while using less film per litre of volume. We increase seal width and film gauge against your drop test requirement.
